1
Forward the waste paperwork
Send transfer-station invoices, ABP movement documents and supplier waste report sheets to the tool's inbound address. One document can carry many lines; each becomes its own waste entry.
2
Stream and route are recorded explicitly
Each entry records the waste stream (general waste, mixed recycling, food waste, glass, wood, metal, plastics, paper and cardboard, construction, WEEE, hazardous or other) and the disposal route (landfill, incineration with energy recovery, recycling, anaerobic digestion, composting, reuse). The route determines the treatment factor.
3
Totals contribute to the footprint
Each entry adds to the production's waste total using published DEFRA treatment factors, and the export maps every entry into the albert Data Tracker waste streams.

WHY IT MATTERS
Waste is a required carbon category, yet it is the stream productions most often reconstruct from memory at wrap. The paperwork already exists: the transfer note, the ABP consignment document, the supplier's monthly report. This tool reads those documents into per-line entries with the right treatment factor for each stream and disposal route, so the waste footprint is evidenced rather than estimated.
